Is it possible to survive the BLACK CHRISTMAS remake?

Im only 6 minutes in and I already paused to check out the boards.

Any suggestions? Its obviously another shite remake, but I rented it, so I have to see it. Should I drink beer? Should I fast-forward? Should I wonder, if Bob Clark is spinning in his grave?

If theres anybody out there who like this remake, please tell me what to look for!!!

DRUNKEN SPOILERS BELOW!!!!

10.42. Realised that they couldnt even get the strangled-girl in the attic scare right.

Opened a beer.

12.59 - annoyed by obvious INFERNO-like lighting in the attic sequence. Who was that girl and should I care if she died?

26.54 - I have a feeling were in weird JEFF LIEBERMAN-territory here - atmosphere a bit like SANTAS LITTLE HEPLER - unfortunately, I just waited for some Halloween-intro POV sequence with a white Santa beard in front of the camera instead of a Halloween mask.

A santa beard? For real? that's either the coolest thing in the world or the suckiest thing ever.

31.41 - tired of every scene flashing between red and green lighting. Even the cameraman must have been annoyed - but not so much as me.

Re: Is it possible to survive the BLACK CHRISTMAS remake?

37.39 - I start to realise, that the director have seen a lot of Argento and try to do something visual with the camera movements and the lighting - but he doesnt have a clue how to put together a dialogue between characters. I dont know who anybody is, and they´re starting to die.

I love in this how the jugular is pierced by a candy cane, and a giant icicle has the power to puncture the cranium. Brilliant!

Re: Is it possible to survive the BLACK CHRISTMAS remake?

48.33 - the annoying girls start to investigate and think they have a clue. I myself cant stop looking at the read and green blinking machine, that they use in every scene - even normally lit scenes have a red and green blink in the background.

Cheers!
