K-Rod, what do you think Dr. Girlfriend said?

    I loved Bowie's chameleon-like morphing powers.

It can't be the obvious, so I opt that the big confession is that she is either: Gay, a Hermaphrodite, or something involving an evil twin or something to that effect.

    Great episode, my favorite line:

"So, it's a cocoon that flies.

    "Yeah."

"That doesn't make any sense, why not make it a butterfly?"

    "Because it's gay."

I'm paraphrasing but you get it.

I'm not sure what it'll be but I'm sure somehow it'll wind up with Dr. Venture and the Monarch being arch-enemies again.

"I'm a man" is too obvious, but maybe she's preggers with Phantom Limb's baby? But its likely something out of left field we'd never guess.

    Great season finale!

Here's what Jackson Publick had to say in his newest Livejournal post:

What I can tell you is that the Venture Bros. Season Two DVD is presently scheduled to be released April 17, 2007. Doc and I are grinding out all the supplemental materials as I write this--we've recorded commentary for every episode (some with James Urbaniak and Mike Sinterniklaas as our very special guests) which we can guarantee will be even less entertaining and more off-topic than the last set's; we're filming some live action stuff which promises to have fewer bad costumes and more dazzling special effects, and we've compiled some 30 deleted "scenes" in various states of dis-animation, many of which you'll be glad we cut but some of which are pretty funny. You are already shouting "oh boy!" I know.

VENTURE BROS. CARTOON PICKED UP FOR SEASON 3
Adult Swim show creators confirm a third and possible fourth season
    By Adam Tracey

    Posted February 26, 2007 3:00 PM

At a one-hour “Venture Bros. Spotlight” panel on Saturday featuring the creators and voice actors of Adult Swim’s hit cartoon “The Venture Bros.,” show creator Jackson Publick confirmed for the packed event hall that “The Venture Bros.” would indeed be picked up for a third season and that a fourth season is likely included with that deal but would be confirmed at a later date.

The panel—featuring show creator and writer Jackson Publick (Hank Venture), writer Doc Hammer (Doctor Girlfriend), James Urbaniak (Doctor Venture), Steven Rattazzi (Doctor Orpheus) and Mike Sinterniklaas (Dean Venture)—began with the announcement of the third season pickup and moved quickly to a short movie about the show and a laughter-filled question-and-answer session.

When asked for an air-date for Season 3, Publick said, “[Season 3] may not air until Spring of next year.”

The remainder of the Q&A session was filled with fan questions about characters, the voice actors themselves, and even some prodding for Season 3 spoilers. Nearly every answer was met with uproarious laughter from the crowd. One fan asked if the panel could reveal what Dr. Girlfriend was hinting at in the last episode of Season 2. (It’s been previously hinted that the gravelly-man-voiced Dr. Girlfriend was once, in fact, a man.) Doc Hammer responded, with jovial sarcasm, “The whole idea of having a cliffhanger is so that you show up for the next season.” Another spoiler question later received an even more snarky answer from Hammer: “You are hanging on a proverbial hook! Tune in!”

When asked later about the whereabouts the show’s more sinister villain, the Phantom Limb, Doc replied, “You got that whole third season comin’ up… Stuff happens, it’s gonna be resolved; we’re not ‘Lost!’ We’ll tell ya!”

Is it just me, or does Dr. Girlfriend intentionally sound like Tony Curtis?

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but Shocker Toys is going to be releasing Venture Bros (and Metalocalypse) toys.

    Re: Venture Brothers

The second season came out today. I noticed Amazon and Best Buy both have a listing for both seasons sold together for around $70, but the individual seasons add up to just over half of that. Neither site mentions anything extra in the set, so I'm wondering if anybody went to Best Buy today and knows why the two season set is so high.
