Hate 2O

gorezone.net

[** HATE 20: Production began earlier this month on HATE 2O, a new chiller from Italy's Minerva Pictures and rising Italian director Alex Infascelli, who helmed the stylish shockers ALMOST BLUE and VANITY SERUM. The story, co-written by Infascelli and Canadian writer Vince Villani, concerns five women at an isolated cottage who die in a series of bizarre, water-based accidents. "This film is a curious combination of Peter Weir's PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK, some SUSPIRIA and THE RING," says former Fangoeia scribe Loris Curci, who's producing HATE 2O with Digital Desk's Andrea Marotti and Minerva Pictures' Gianluca Curti. "The story takes place in an old house in Finland, with no cell phones but lots of strange occurrences. Soon, the women begin getting killed by ingenious means, all involving water." Re: Hate 2O

i saw it thanks to the italian dvd and it was mostly annoying because of the lack of subtitles!

it is a very slow paced and moody film (sometimes it looks like Peter Weir's first movies),quite nicely shot and it stars Chiara"do you like Hitchcock?" Conti.

the story wasn't easy to follow, because i don't speak italian...

my favorite Infascelli film is "almost blue" and "il sierro della vanita" was quite interesting too.

Re: Hate 2O

I have a copy of it, but the audio is so desynchronised from the film itself that it's unwatchable. I really hope an English-language distributor picks it up eventually and releases it with subtitles.
