New Abel Ferrara film

According to the imdb, Abel Ferrara is finally getting another project off the ground. He's currently filming Mary, with Vincent Gallo as a film director who becomes obsessed with Mary Magdelane (sp). I remember at one point Monica Belucci was supposed to be in this, but I don't think it lists her as in the cast. Could be interesting, when it comes to religion, Ferrara rarely dissapoints.

Re: New Abel Ferrara film

This seems like a roller coaster for me. The upside is that it's Abel Ferrara doing a movie about religion. the downside? Vincet Gallo. I'll see it, but I'm not too sure i'll be happy with it like I have with most other Ferrara films.

Re: New Abel Ferrara film

According to IMDB, Mary is already on general release in Italy, with Belgium and France to get a release soon. No sign of a UK or US release date yet, but surely some distributor will want to snap this up with that cast and the high praise it receieved at Cannes.
