Mihály Györik's THE VALLEY (LA VALLE DELLE OMBRE)

The English-language title of La valle delle ombre (working title: "Le valli della paura") has been changed from "The Valley of Fear" simply to "The Valley". The movie is set to be screened at this year's Locarno International Film Festival. NonStop Sales AB is now the international sales agent for it.

The revised screenplay for The Valley was written by Eraldo Baldini, Sandrone Dazieri, (Mihály) Györik, Giampiero Rigosi, Fausto Brizzi, and Marco Martani. The movie now stars Teco Celio as Father Guido, Mari Töröcsik as Matteo's grandmother Clara, Milán Vajda as Ugo, Sebastiano Galeppi as Matteo, Andrea Osvart as Judy, Péter Kokics as Renato, Michele Andrei as Anselmo, Natalia Fantoni as Lidia, Jean-François Balmer as Father Savino, Diego Gaffuri as Matteo's grandfather, Miklós B. Székely as the healer, and Fario Cellina as Simone.

Here's a description of The Valley from the official website for the movie: "Matteo, a boy from the city, goes to visit his grandfather in a secluded mountain village, where he meets his cousin Lidia and three local boys. The kids begin to explore the surrounding nature and start playing a dangerous game. Each of them tells a frightening story, evoking obscure mysteries, rooted in the past of the valley. ¶ Those horrifying tales, accurately structured in a time progression, put Matteo and the other kids in a growingly vulnerable state of mind, in which fear will make its part bringing those evil spirits of the past into reality. ¶ 'The Valley' is a dark fairy tale that takes us in a journey through ancient rural worlds, filled with magic and superstition, in which evil and the dark sides of nature prevail."
