Brian Dennehy
 

Anyone a fan of this actor? I like him in most films I've seen him in. A versatile character actor who is good at playing different types of roles. My favorite performances are for F/X, Belly of an Architect, Gorky Park, Best Sellar. I even liked him in his guest starring roles for Just Shoot Me.

My favorite performance from Dennehy is from the made for TV movie "To Catch a Killer". His take on John Wayne Gacy was chilling. I wish I woulda snatched up the DVD when it was released some years ago. Can't find the damn thing now.

One of my all time favourite character actors. I actually liked him even better when he played nice guys such as in the FX movies, then as a badguy, even if he was a very good badguy.

Just saw BEST SELLER recently again........good film with good performances from Dennehy and Woods.

He's amazing in that movie. I rented it just expecting a likewarm tv-movie and was surprised at how well he nailed that freak. The movie shows very little but reamains all the more disturbing for it.

And I love him in FIRST BLOOD. Dennehy is always a pleasure to watch.

Awesome in FIRST BLOOD but my favorite is BELLY OF AN ARCHITECT. You get a real sense of his frustration at his failing health and the jerks that are trying to thwart his exhibition. You never get a feeling he's acting, terrific work on that. It's a movie I watch at least once a year.

He's so mean in FIRST BLOOD, you hate him completely, he's good as slimy creeps. He's also great in the first F/X, too. Must be one of America's busiest actors, working nonstop for the last 25+ years.

He also is a great on stage. One of his best qualities is his lack of prentention. He isn't particularly handsome but has a lot of screen presence and is a better than average actor too.

My favorite role of his is in the movie Gladiator, the boxing one with Cuba Gooding Jr.
