The Film
Al Adamson and Sam Sherman were a producing directing combo who founded Independent International Pictures. They were responsible for many drive-in films that range from horror films to biker flicks. They were known for putting films together and most importantly cheap, but none faster than this.

Georgina Spelvin (The Devil in Miss Jones) stars in a rare non-porn role as Sandra, a prison escapee who is recruited by a crime syndicate to assassinate a politician. Sandra hires a prostitute to drop a pill in his drink and pose for some pictures. She doesn’t know that the pill will really kill him and when he dies, she flees for the border with Sandra and her partner in hot pursuit.

I Spit on Your Corpse was originally titled Girls for Rent, which, is much better title. The film was re-named to cash in on another film (which will remain nameless to due to my hatred of that film) when it was released on video. This is defiantly a drive-in film filled with plenty of action, sex, blood, and topless fighting! The sleazy characters are a lot of fun to watch with a standout performance from Spelvin as the cold-blooded merciless killer. This is without a doubt is my favorite Adamson film.

Video 3/5
Presented Full-Frame ;for a film of this age and budget, the film looks great Colors are very strong and the print has little if no damage however, some of the night scenes are a little too dark.

Audio 3/5
The disc has a new Dolby Digital Surround 4.0 track; Surround activity and channel separation is limited, but this mix is a bit more effective than the original monaural soundtrack, which is also included.

Extras 3/5
The film is introduced by Sam Sherman, he also contributes an excellent commentary and talks about how many lawsuits were filed against him because of this film and how the ending didn't turnout as originally planned. The disc also has TV spots, trailer, still gallery, and a short featurette called Producing Schlock.

Overall 3/5
My favorite Al Adamson/Sam Sherman film gets a nice treatment with a nice price from the good folks over at Troma. Let's hope that Troma will pick up another couple of Adamson/Sherman productions ,The Naughty Stewardesses and The Blazing Stewardesses for DVD Release
