Wow. Here's something we don't see from Seduction Cinema too often - a softcore porno movie spoof. That was sarcasm, in case you couldn't tell. They're the undisputed kings of this bizarre little sub-category, and with Dr. Jekyll & Mistress Hyde they team up their flagship starlet, Misty Mundae, with the sultry and equally hot Julian Wells to bring us another in their long running series of shot on video lesbian romps through familiar genre territory. The story is an all too familiar one to those well versed in horror movies or even those who have studied the classic book from which the film pulls it's name. Most of us have read the book in high school or at least seen one of the numerous adaptations of the story, be it one of the many wonderful films based on the work, or possibly the stage show starring the one and only David Hasselhoff. Regardless, we all know the story of Dr. Jekyll & Mister Hyde. So does the world really need another version? Well, probably not, but this one includes hot lesbian scenes and Misty Mundae, who I am an unabashed fan off, wearing a schoolgirl outfit. So in that regard, this is a very welcome addition to my collection. Julian Wells plays Dr. Jackie Stevenson, a therapist out to prove her theory that a woman's psyche can be split into two sides - the pure and the lustful. Using all her powers of deduction, she manages to create a complicated serum that should, in theory if not in practice, separate the two halves and thereby free women from their inhibitions, by they sexual or psychological. Her subject, or more aptly put, her guinea pig, is none other than Ms. Mundae, who once injected turns into a raving sex maniac who instantly seduces the good Doctor, right there in her office. And all the better for us, because Jackie gets so hot from Misty's tongue action that she decides, hey, maybe I should try this stuff on myself. So she does and she transforms from a quiet, professional doctor into an equally randy and insatiable sex kitten with a penchant for lesbian action. Her sexual escapades become more and more interesting, as she goes from taking advantage of a street hooker to a lesbian threesome to having sex with her own maid (Ruby LaRocca, all decked out in French Maid attire - yowza!), but unfortunately, she's becoming more and more addicted not only to the sex, but also to the drug and she's very quickly spiraling out of control. Sure, it's kind of corny, but the sex scenes are great, and some of the camera work is pretty solid. The girls put in a much more serious performance in this film than they have in some of their other collaborations, like Lord Of The G-Strings, and there are even a couple of moments that are a little bit intense and oddly creepy. You'll know by looking at the cover art if this release is your bag or not, and if it is, take a look as it's a better than average title and it even plays around with some of the same themes and ideas that Mulholland Drive does. And it's got Misty Mundae in a schoolgirl outfit.

| We're treated to a Dolby Digital 2.0 sound mix that's slightly better than average. It's relatively clear and the odd soundtrack and sound effects come through reasonably clear without ever overshadowing the ever important moans and groans coming from the on screen participants. Not much to report in the way of channel separation with most of the dialogue coming from the front center channel, but that's ok, as the film doesn't really call for any more than that anyway. What's here works and it works well. |

Seduction Cinema once again delivers some pretty interesting and diverse extras on this release for the softcore lesbian fan in your household to chow down on. First up is a feature length behind the scenes documentary that covers, quite in depth, the making of the film from start to finish and features words with not only the lovely ladies of the cast but also the key crew members as well, like director Tony Marsiglia. There are also individual interviews with the two leading ladies, Misty Mundae and Julian Wells, both of whom speak at length about the making of the film and their roles therein. They're both fairly well natured ladies and I think I'd like to hang out with them, especially if they take of their clothes and make out with each other in real life too. Finally, in addition to the trailer for this and almost every other Seduction Cinema release and a handy dandy hardcopy catalogue inside the keepcase, this release has been limited to 20,000 copies and comes packaged with the films soundtrack on a separate audio CD, so that you can listen to it in the car on your way to work if you want. Good stuff. It's actually kind of a cool soundtrack and I like it when companies think to do things like this, it always puts the release up a notch or two in my books. |

Well, if there's one thing that Seduction Cinema does well, it's cater to their audience. They know who's buying this stuff, guys like me. And they know what we want - lots of extras, soundtrack CDs, and Misty Mundae is a schoolgirl outfit. And on this release, they deliver the goods. |
